It's that time of year where illness seems to be plaguing our family. So I am doing everything I can to keep immune systems high, everyone well fed and well rested in hopes of keeping more illness at bay until spring arrives. My children love smoothies so the other day I decided to whip up a really fresh tasting smoothie that I knew my kids would love AND would help bust any cold that might be coming on. The result was delicious and refreshing and I loved getting an extra dose of vitamin C in all of our bodies! This is a smoothie that I plan to make again and again especially if anyone starts sneezing, sniffling or coughing. So keep reading to snag my Cold Buster Smoothie Recipe for yourself!
This is a great recipe that can be easily modified with what you have on hand. But the key to the extra immunity boosting properties of this are to add a serving of Vitamin C Crystals (affiliate link included for your convenience). This is a must easier way to get your Vitamin C then a yucky, tart vitamin, and it can help during the winter months to keep you healthy and give you an extra boost of antioxidants for the day.

This looks fantastic. I also grabbed and pinned a few of your other smoothies. Me and the hubby have smoothies every morning during the week for breakfast, but I haven't really tried a lot of citrus recipes yet. Am going to give these a go!

As much as I giggle a little everytime I eat a clementine, they really do pack a serious flavour punch for smoothies. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe with us at Idea Box Link Party!

When I catch a cold, or feel it coming on, I turn to those Vitamin C chewables/gummies. This seems like a much more delicious option, and healthy. Pinning. Visiting from the Inspiration Monday party with Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom.

What a great idea! Citrus-based smoothies are my favorite anyway, but I never thought of adding in more vitamin C.
