The other day I saw the cutest Bakers Twine Tied Eggs from Kelly at Smart School House and just fell in love. Not only does she have an amazing blog but she also takes incredible photos as well! You should go check her out here. Anyway, her recent project was my inspiration for my own Twine-Tied Easter Eggs!
You can of course do this with real eggs, but I found these cute white plastic Easter Eggs from +Hobby Lobby for about $1 for a 12 pack (on sale). Using plastic means I can keep these for next year and since they are actually cheaper then eggs, they were the way to go for me.
These were so simple to create. I just dabbed on a few spots of low-temp hot glue to help the Jute Twine stay in place and then I wrapped it like I would wrap ribbon on a present. Around the egg width-wise, around the egg length-wise and tie in place!
They are super cute and provide a really simple, neutral egg display in my home.
Happy Easter!
I would love for you to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pintrest and via email.
