It's finally Fall! It's been a long, hot summer, and now that the cooler temperatures are here I can finally walk my dogs (Gracie, Charlie and LuLu). It's a good thing since they were starting to get a bit pudgy.
We have a busy month ahead of us with my daughter getting ready for her Homecoming dance: new dress, shoes, jewelry, spray tan, hair, and nails done ... it's enough to break the bank. So I decided it was time for me to start on some more of my furniture pieces so mama could make a little money.
First on my agenda were these beauties:
I found this set of five chairs at a yard sale this summer. They were in good shape, but they looked dated -- and those green cushions had to go.
I painted them with a black, chalk-based paint followed by several ivory coats (this went much better than the last set of chairs I did).
Once they were dry, I distressed them so that the black would show through.
I then found this super cute fabric on clearance, and I knew it would be perfect for these chairs. I attached the fabric with a staple gun, making sure to pull the fabric snuggly ... and Voila!
They look brand new!
I hope you all have a great Halloween! I will see you next month!
