I have a secret confession to make. I love pudding. And pudding pops are even better because they are the perfect way to cool down with a tasty treat in the summer time! My kids and I love making popsicles and we decided to make some yummy pudding popsicles this summer! Since we just passed Memorial Day and the 4th of July is coming up quickly, I thought it would be really fun to whip up some patriotic pudding pops! So we gathered just a few ingredients and in only a few minutes our yummy treats were in the freezer. These were so easy to make and I love how cute and patriotic they are too! Keep reading for the full recipe!
A big thank you to Huggies® for making this post possible today. All opinions are mine. #HugTheMess
The best part about this recipe is that I was able to make it with ingredients I already had on hand!
Red White and Blue Pudding Pops
Ingredients:
- 3.9 oz box of Vanilla Instant Pudding (or white chocolate or any other white-ish flavor you prefer)
- 2 cups Milk
- Red and Blue Food Coloring
- Popsicle Molds
Directions:
- Place milk and pudding mix in a bowl and whisk for about 2 minutes.
- Divide pudding into three different bowls. Add red food coloring to one (about 10 drops) and blue food coloring to the other (about 10 drops) leaving the third bowl of pudding un-colored. Mix until color is consistent throughout.
- Place three sandwich size ziploc bags in glasses, folding the edge of the bag over the edge of the cup.
- Pour each pudding color into a different bag and zip shut.
- Cut one corner off of each bag and fill popsicle molds with the pudding. I layered red first, then white, then blue.
- Place popsicle sticks into the molds and allow to freeze for several hours until fully frozen.
I really can't think of a better way to ring in summer and the 4th of July than yummy Patriotic Pudding Pops!
And for the inevitable mess that happens while making (and eating) popsicles, I always keep Huggies® Wipes close at hand to quickly clean up spills as they happen.
I also give Huggies® Wipes to both of my children to clean their hands and mouth when eating popsicles. They are a great way to keep the inevitable mess of popsicles cleaned up and keep my kids non-sticky. And because only Huggies® Wipes have triple layers, they are thick enough to handle any mess I've encountered but gentle enough on my children's face and skin.
And even though we had a little mess and stickiness (nothing that my Huggies® Wipes couldn't handle though) these red white and blue pudding pops are one of my favorite popsicles ever!

My kids would love these pudding pops! Even though my kids are teens now, I still keep Huggies wipes in my car and house for cleaning up messes and spills.

Oh man, I always LOVED pudding pops (and the fruity Jello pops they used to make when I was a kid, too). Something about the texture is SO GOOD.

Pudding pops sound so yummy. I see lots of homemade Popsicle online but never a pudding pop. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

This is great. My 3 year old granddaughter discovered popcycles last year, so I started making them for her. This will be a fun one to try.
