Look at this cute table runner!
I don't normally make table runners, but I was hosting an event (more on that later) and wanted some fun decorations for it!
I forgot to take before photos, but this project was super simple and incredible easy!
I found some placemats that I loved and bought four of them. (How cute is the turquoise polka dotted pattern?!?! And so versitile! You can't even tell what type of event I used this for...I could use it for so many different things!)
These particular placemats had polka dots on most of it, but then a stripe pattern along one side. I cut off the strip pattern, and all 4 stitched edges. So I ended up with four rectangles with polka dots on them, and 4 long skinny rectangles with stripes on them.
I then sewed the placemats to the striped strips, alternating them, until I had created one long runner.
Then I finished off all 4 edges by folding them over twice and stitching all the way around.
Didn't it turn out soooo cute?!?!
Happy Designing!

The polka dots are fun! I love runners because you can do so much with them-enjoy!
