One of my favorite desserts is cheesecake and so today I am excited to share a recipe for a delicious Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie with you! And the best part about this smoothie is that you probably have everything you need in your fridge right now to make this! So if you need a little afternoon pick-me-up, I've totally got you covered. Keep reading for the full recipe below.
Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie
If you are looking for truly decadent, over the top milkshake, you should try my Raspberry Freakshakewith Macaroons. It is pretty special.
However, if you are looking for something easier to create and slightly more healthy, this smoothie is a great option. It still tastes like a treat though so it is great for a sweet treat fix.
I won't claim that this strawberry cheesecake shake is the healthiest option out there as far as smoothies go, but it is definitely a healthier option. And sometimes, that's all we need. Something healthier.
What ingredients are in a cheesecake smoothie?
This cheesecake smoothie recipe uses real strawberries, plain yogurt and a hint of vanilla so you know it's going to be delicious! You can sub the sugar for Stevia or sweetener of your choice, but I will be honest with you, I am a real sugar gal. But, if you are trying to be better then I am, feel free to sub the sugar out for Stevia or your favorite sweetener.
How many people will this cream cheese smoothie feed?
This recipe makes two generous servings, so you could easily split this among 3 or even 4 people. I would make one of these recipes for my family of 5 (two adults and 3 kids) and it would be the perfect amount in my opinion. But if you have older kids you may want to double this recipe.
Is this strawberry cheesecake smoothie recipe healthy?
This is definitely a healthier recipe because it is packed with healthy ingredients like fat-free cream cheese, plain yogurt, and strawberries. However, it does contain some granulated sugar. If you want to avoid adding sugar, I would recommend using a substitute like Stevia. You can leave the sweetener out altogether, but this recipe will be more tart and less sweet.
What toppings are best for a cheesecake smoothie?
I love topping a recipe like this with some tasty graham cracker crumbs, whipped cream, and a strawberry! But I kept it a little more simple this time and we only added a strawberry. Feel free to add them though if you want a more rich smoothie experience.
Protein-packed cheesecake smoothie
Because this smoothie contains a ton of dairy, it also contains a ton of protein! So you can get a great protein fix without yucky powders.
Should I use fresh or frozen strawberries for this recipe?
You can use either fresh or frozen strawberries for this recipe. If you use frozen strawberries, you may not need to add any ice to your smoothie to make it cold and thick. If you opt for fresh strawberries you may need to add more ice to your recipe. Either way, you can get a delicious strawberry cheesecake smoothie.
What blender is best for smoothies and milkshakes?
There are many blenders you can use for making smoothies, milkshakes and frozen drinks, but I personally own the Vitamix 780 and think it is simply the best. I get smooth, consistent results every single time which is exactly what I want for all my drinks! You can buy your own Vitamix 780 HERE. It is my favorite and I know you will love it too!
