There are so many wonderfully yummy, sugary treats this time of year.  So I had this great idea to make a "mostly healthy" Christmas treat for my daughter.  I came up with the SANTA APPLE.

To make this you will need:
  • (1) red apple
  • (2) M&M's or chocolate chips
  • Mini-marshmallows
  • Something sticky like peanut butter or frosting (depending on how healthy you really want this to be 🙂

First you will need to cut the apple as shown above so that you have the base part of your santa.
As a hint, you will want to trim off the back of all the apple pieces so that they sit flat!
Next add your M&M or chocolate chip eyes using peanut butter or frosting to help them stick.
Finally, using the peanut better or frosting, add mini marshmallows for trim on the hat and a beard.
Then watch your children's eyes light up when they realize you just made them an edible Santa!

What do you think?  It's pretty cute, huh?
