I can't remember where I saw this idea, but I thought it was just too cute and it made the perfect compliment to a recent baby shower that I recently threw (you will see more of this later!)
You can use any type of paint, but I chose to use regular old craft paint.
But the paint was a bit too thick, so I added water to the bottle and mixed the water and paint until the consistency was fairly thin.
I put the paint in the bottom of the mason jar and started swirling it around until the entire inside of the jar was covered in paint.
Then I turned it upside down to let it dry completely. (I propped it up so that the extra paint could drip out.)
How cute is this?!?!
It made the perfect spoon holder!

You are sooooo amazing!
How do you keep coming up with cute stuff to do....????
Thanks for sharing! It's adorable!
Did it hold up well? For second and third uses?

frustrated. I've been tying to do this for a couple of days. The paint will not dry on the inside of the jar. I even tried a frosted spray on the inside thinking the paint needed something to "hold on to" . The frosted spray finish worked but the paint still did not ever dry. I'm using acrylic paints. The jars have been clean prior to use and now a few more times.

Graciecrafter - I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble.

Be sure to put something under the jar to prop it up a bit like I did (I used wooden kabob sticks). And thin your paint down with water so you get a thinner coat of paint.

I made this a long time ago, but I do seem to recall that it took at least 24 hours to dry.

Good luck!
Ashley
