We were having beautiful winter weather and then last week it hit.  Single digit temperatures, ice, snow...bbbrrrr!  It got cold!  And when it gets cold, I just want to stay inside.  And maybe update a few of my interior spaces too!  As you know I have been slowly working to create my dream craft room.  In fact I started using it full time just last week!  And I am in love with how it is turning out!  But one of the things I did in my craft room was to paint it!  Yes!  I found the perfect shade of gray and I just love how it looks now!  Although painting walls isn't my most favorite things to do, it isn't worth it for me to hire it out.  So if you have an upcoming painting project, don't just hire it out, consider doing it yourself.  You really can achieve amazingly beautiful and professional results if you know a few tips and tricks.  So today I am excited to share my tips for How to Paint Your Room like a Pro.

How to Paint Your Room Like a Pro

My office was previously painted a tan color.  It is pretty.  But I was ready for a change.  I was ready for GRAY!  Here is what it looked like before...

I decided to use Sherwin-Williams Repose Gray paint for the space.  It is a light gray color that is very neutral and it lets the room feel light and airy still.

And in collaboration with HomeRight, I quickly got to work to transform my tan room into a beautiful grey work space!

There's a lot I want to paint. When we first moved into our house almost 2 years ago (Holy cow, how did that happen?!) we scrapped popcorn off of our ceilings and I was pressured to choose paint colors for every room quickly. Now that I'd had more time to think and plan (thanks Pintrest!) I want to revamp almost every room (much to my poor husband's dismay) The first room I think I'd like to tackle would be the kitchen (though our master is a close second)

    The grey looks great btw!

The seller bought my house painted the EVERY ROOM in the house a sickly pink beige color when she listed it. I have a lot of painting to do! I would start working on the living room and tackle the rest of the house from there.

My basement flooded 2 days after Christmas because of having 10 inches of rain and our sump pump went out! So, I am in the process of moving things, cleaning and the next step is to paint. This would sure come in handy because I have 10 different walls to paint down there! And I love that Sherwin-Williams repose gray paint color! I think I will use it! Thanks!

I have to start with my living room in a very light gray. 😉 Then my bedroom, and lastly for now the kitchen/dining/hallway. Going to be a busy girl but the results will be worth it.
