I am busy making Halloween treats right now and one of my favorite treats to make is chocolate bark! So I created this really fun and beautiful, layered Candy Corn Chocolate Bark that is perfect for any fall or Halloween treat! This is a great recipe to customize to your preference and you can really and truly make this your own! We love making chocolate bark in our home and my kids love to help me too!
This Halloween chocolate bark is so incredible simple to make! You will love how quickly it comes together and how little hands-on time this actually requires! Plus is looks beautiful packaged up in cello bags and handed out to good friends and neighbors this time of year!
To create this Candy Corn Chocolate Bark, you will need:
- Make 'n Mold Candy Wafers (orange, white, yellow)
- Make 'n Mold Microwaveable Candy Trays
- Candy Corns
- Orange, Yellow and White Jimmies
- Cookie Sheet
There are many ways to melt chocolate but I usually always microwave it! And I love the disposable microwavable candy trays! They cut down on my clean-up time and mess and are well worth the money in my opinion!
As a hint though, I found that if I put the microwavable try directly in my microwave, the bottom tends to overheat before the rest of the chocolate melts. So I suggest placing your tray on a glass plate and then microwaving your chocolate.
Basically, you will microwave your chocolate on 40% power for about 10-20 second intervals. You will want to stir often. Be sure to check out all of my chocolate melting tips and tricks here for more information on how to successfully melt chocolate for projects like this.
You will melt one color of chocolate at a time. I began with yellow, then orange and finally white. After your first chocolate is melted, you will spread it in a thin layer onto a cookie sheet. After the first layer of chocolate is hardened, you can melt and add your middle layer of chocolate. And after your middle layer of chocolate is set, melt and add your top later of chocolate onto the chocolate bark!
As soon as your top layer of chocolate is in place, you will add candy corns and jimmies! You will want to let this set completely and then break (or cut) apart into pieces.
Isn't this such a fun and festive treat!? I can't wait to deliver this to some of my friends this year!
