Chocolate is my love language and this Chocolate Parfait is so delicious! I have created several parfaits for my family over the years like this delicious Chocolate S'more Parfait here and this Yogurt Parfait Brunch here. But today I wanted to create something sweet and delicious, perfect for a dessert. It turned out delicious and I think you will love it too.

Chocolate Parfait
I wanted to create a yummy chocolate parfait recipe that was both delicious and easy to make, and I wanted to make it (mostly) from scratch. So with a little experimentation and a lot of chocolate chips, I perfected this delicious chocolate mousse parfait recipe.
What is a parfait?
A parfait is created by layering different foods in a tall glass. Yogurt parfaits are often created with layers of yogurt, granola, and fruit. A chocolate parfait is often made by layering chocolate mousse or chocolate pudding and whipped cream. I love to top my chocolate mousse parfaits with chocolate chips too! But this mini Cadbury Egg Chocolate Mouse Triffle is another great example of a delicious parfait with a slightly different topping of mini Cadbury eggs. Or this S'more Parfait topped with mini marshmallows. So yummy!
How do I make a parfait?
Making a parfait is so easy. You simply pick your ingredients and layer them one at a time in a glass, trifle bowl, or another small container. I love making parfaits in clear containers so you can see the layers. It's so beautiful.
What ingredients do I need to make I chocolate parfait?
For this parfait recipe, I used evaporated milk, chocolate chips, and frozen whipped topping. Then I topped this delicious chocolate mousse with whipped cream and mini chocolate chips.
Recipe for Parfait Dessert
To create this recipe for a parfait dessert, I made a quick run to the store for a few ingredients I needed. Then I got to work creating this delicious chocolate mousse parfait.
I also found some really cute dessert shooter cups at Walmart that were perfect to hold these pretty little desserts! They were smaller, so I decided to just do one layer in this parfait plus toppings. If you have a bigger cup, I would do multiple layers in this parfait.
