It is no secret that I am addicted to smoothies! And if I can incorporate chocolate and still make it nutritious, then it is even better! I am a big fan of a plain chocolate smoothie but my latest obsession is to mix a little fruit in with the chocolate for added flavor. I love chocolate covered cherries and when I found some delicious looking frozen cherries the other day in the store, I knew they would be a yummy addition to my next morning's smoothie. And boy was I right! This is one of my favorite smoothies and you will love how simple it is to make! Read on to snag the recipe for this scrumptious chocolate cherry smoothie.
Mornings are often rushed around our home. Between trying to work out, get lunches made, kids fed and everyone happily on the bus with no missing papers, library books or lunches, sometimes I forget to eat myself! I rush to get everyone else ready and then take a quick shower and sometimes the morning slips by before I remember to take the time to take care of myself.
But I have made a promise to myself this year to take better care of myself and part of that is eating breakfast every day. And smoothies have become my answer to making my morning routine go smoother and ensuring I take care of myself. And you know what? I feel so much better when I exercise and eat breakfast every day. I have less cravings, I have more energy and I just feel better.
So I hope you enjoy one of my favorite smoothies today, here is my Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Recipe.

I choose to participate in the 7-Day Breakfast Challenge because even though I started the year strong eating breakfast daily, I had been slacking recently and I knew this would motivate me enough to get back on track! So I began my challenge by heading to my local Kroger to pick up some Carnation Breakfast Essentials® powder in chocolate.
While I was there though I noticed that they also had ready-to-drink Carnation Breakfast Essentials® in Rich Milk Chocolate and Classic French Vanilla. I snagged a couple for mornings that are especially rushed.
And the next morning, I made myself a delicious smoothie!

I do eat breakfast every day, but it's usually something like a bar or a piece of fruit. [client]

Carnation Instant Breakfast drinks kept my husband consuming calories on his own when he went thru chemo and radiation treatments last year. We loved the smoothies so much that we modified the calorie count and still drink them so I'm adding these to our recipe collection! Thank you.
