Hi Simply Designing Fans! I'm Stephie from Made By Stephie and I am soooo excited to be here today! I love Simply Designing and I check it out daily! I am going to be showing you how I made this jewelry tray:
But - first here is a little about me. I am a photographer (SCAD educated - stop by Hicks Photography and check me out! ) in nursing school and I am married to an amazing artist (also a SCAD grad). I love to craft, bake , refurnish furniture, and "upcycle" Goodwill finds. Well - enough about me - here comes the fun stuff! I found this gold mirror @ a local thrift/junk store.
I wasn't sure what to do with it but because it was a dollar I took it home. I needed something for my nightstand to hold jewelry (I'm always taking my earrings off and laying them on the nightstand) so I came up with this! First I removed the backing and pried the mirror off.
Then I spray painted it a glossy white. Before it dried I took a dry paint brush and rubbed some of the paint off to give it a distressed look
I glued the mirror to the original cardboard backing. Then I glued fabric on to it. Once it dried I hot glued it back into the frame.
And now I have a jewelry tray for my nightstand!! I hope you will stop by Made By Stephie and check out all of my other projects and furniture redo! I love getting new followers and comments!
A big thank you to Ashley for letting me take over your blog for the day!
See Ya Later Simply Desinging Fans!!
