The ingredients are truly what make this recipe spectacular! Nestle Carnation Sweetened Condensed Milk adds the perfect amount of sweetness to counterbalance the tart key lime flavor. I picked up my sweetened condensed milk at Target.
And using real key lime juice is what gives this recipe it's tart and delicious flavor! I have used regular lime juice for this recipe in a pinch and it is still good, but key lime juice makes this recipe truly sing! So call around to find a store that carries key lime juice if you need to, it is well worth the work to find this! Thankfully my local Kroger's carries this.
For this recipe, canned foods make homemade easy! I honestly am able to keep everything I need on hand for this recipe! I love to take this to dinner parties or to any sort of get together where I am asked to bring a dessert! It is always a hit!
I love keeping my pantry stocked with cans! This helps me make food, dinner or last minute desserts easy and help me stay within my budget! And this is truly one of our favorite desserts!

I make this same recipe minus the eggs and baking. Mix all the ingredients minus the eggs. Instead you combine with 8 oz brick of cream cheese. Soften cream cheese and combine with other ingredients, pour into pie crust, and refrigerate for at least 5 hours, better overnight. Slice and serve. I got the recipe off of the real lime juice bottle and sweetened condensed milk site. I think it may be on the Philadelphia cream cheese site too. It will taste the same, just no bake! Yes! Try it and check websites to see recipe.
