My son loves cereal. He eats it for breakfast, comes home from school and eats it again, and sometimes he even asks for it for dinner. I have no ideas why this boy loves cereal so much but he does! So I wanted to create a yummy and delicious snack for him that incorporated cereal into it, but also was a bit healthier then just eating cereal by the handful. These chocolate peanut butter cereal bars only take 3 ingredients to make but are really yummy! And you can even have your kids help you make this if you want! It is really that simple. My kids loved these chocolate peanut butter cereal bars and I did too! They were a big hit and I will be making them again soon because everyone loved them. The cereal bars were perfect to put in school lunches or have for an after school snack. But they would also be great summer snacks too. So keep reading to learn how to make Chocolate Peanut Butter Cereal Bars!
To make these you will need three ingredients. 3. That is all. And there is a good chance you have at least two of these already in your house!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cereal Bars
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Chocolate Cheerios
- ⅓ cup creamy Peanut Butter
- ½ cup Honey
Directions:
- Place the honey and peanut butter in a microwave safe dish and heat until the peanut butter is melted. (It took about 1 minutes in my microwave.)
- Stir honey and peanut butter together until blended.
- Stir Cheerios into the honey and peanut butter mixture until well coated.
- Spread in a lined loaf pan.
- Let cool in the fridge. Remove from the pan and cut into bars.
These are a soft bar, so I like to wrap them individually in plastic wrap and store them in the fridge.
