Chocolate. Good. Strawberries. Good. Chocolate covered strawberries. Amazing!
I had some left over green chocolate from my Chocolate Dipped Oreos and happened to have some strawberries...what better way to use "leftovers" then to make chocolate covered strawberries!
To prep the green chocolate, I melted the green melting chocolate in a mug in the microwave on medium power, 1 minute at a time until melted (careful not to over cook).
To prep the regular chocolate, mix a bit of shortening with chocolate chips and microwave on medium power, 1 minute at a time until melted.
Dip strawberries in chocolate and let cool completely on wax paper.
To double dip strawberries, let the first coat completely dry before dipping into second chocolate coat.
Let dry and enjoy! Yum!
(This is a great project for your children to help out with too!)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
