Look at what I did today!
I absolutely LOVE these blocks!!!
I worked with NataLee from NataLee Allen Designs on these. She is wonderful to work with! I told her basically what I wanted and she figured out all the logistics, cut and sanded the blocks and cut the vinyl for me! How fabulous is she?!?!
I painted the blocks with one coat of Folk Art acrylic craft paint in Raw Umber.
Then I cut scrapbook paper ¼" smaller then the overall size of the blocks and used a brown ink pad to "antique" the edges of the scrapbook paper.
Next I adhered the vinyl letters to the scrapbook paper. (See my vinyl application tutorial for details on how to do that.)
My "egg" shape was made with a Cricut (thanks mom!). I adhered that to scrapbook paper as well.
Then I used mod podge to attach all the scrapbook paper to the blocks and let it dry.
I finished the blocks by applying one final coat of mod podge over the blocks.
Easy as can be and I am loving how they turned out!
Happy Easter!
