4th of July Bandanna Table Runner

When I started thinking about 4th of July ideas, I felt like I had so much time.

Now I am one day away from the 4th of July and realized that I haven't posted a single 4th of July craft this year!  Big huge fail on my end.  Sorry guys.  And I apologize in advance for the onslaught of 4th of July posts that will be airing today 🙂

First up, my 4th of July Bandanna Table runner!  I had this idea since last year, but never got around to creating it.  So I wanted to be sure to post it first this year!

It is so simple to do, and fairly inexpensive too!

You Will Need:

• 5 bandannas (your choice of color, but I used 3 navy blue and 2 red) (about $1 each at WalMart)
• thread
• needle or sewing machine
• iron (optional)

1. First thing is to iron those bandannas.  This is optional, but mine were really bad looking so I took a few minutes to iron my bandannas and they looked a lot cuter.
2. Put right sides together on two bandannas and sew one edge together leaving about a ½" seam allowance.  (give or take, this isn't rocket science and there is no need for perfection!  Just straight stitch those babies together!)  You can also use a needle and thread for this step if you prefer.
3. Continue stitching bandannas together until they are all sewed together
4. Iron the seams flat
5. Enjoy!

This is the perfect back drop to a 4th of July BBQ.  And it is so simple you could easily whip this up before tomorrow!
