This year is a year of many firsts! This is the first year I have ever hosted Thanksgiving dinner and it will be the first year I have even hosted Christmas dinner as well! So besides all the usual shopping, wrapping, baking and gifting that goes on this time of year, I also am working on planning a Christmas dinner menu for the first time ever!
One of the hardest things I have to do is to decide on a menu for Christmas dinner! There are so many choices and so many things we love, but I don't want to spend all Christmas day in the kitchen! So this year I am getting a little holiday inspiration from a great website I just discovered: Bed Bath and Beyond's Holiday Your Way!
I found a few amazing recipes on their website that I can't wait to try...and they might just make their way onto our Christmas menu this year! (Check out their Holiday Recipes here!)
This Roasted Pear Salad with Gorgonzola and Maple Balsamic Dressing looks divine and would be the perfect side to any meal! I love the idea of serving salad as the side vegetable for a big Christmas dinner because it is easy to throw together, doesn't require much oven time and is something that you can easily ask someone else to throw together while you're putting the finishing touches on dinner!
I'm always looking for new ways to cook ham and this Orange-Ginger Glazed Ham looks delicious and simple! I might be serving this ham this year! Yum!
These Hasselback Potatoes with Manchego, Parmesan and Thyme takes baked potatoes to a whole new level! They are simple to make, buttery and cheesey and would be an incredibly tasty side to your ham!
You can find these recipes, plus many more at the Holiday Your Way site!
And while you are these be sure to check out their list of holiday gift no-no's, tips for wrapping gifts and ways to style your holiday table!
So while I stress about hosting Christmas dinner, can you please share with me your holiday entertaining tips or tricks?
