Now that my Christmas decor is down, my house looks bare. It looks so...blah. Do you have the same problem?
My front porch is also quite sad at the moment. It looks like no one lives here. Really. So when my Christmas wreath came down, I knew I needed something to replace it.
So I made my very own Yarn Wreath (no knitting or sewing involved! Promise!)
And, can you believe it, it was sooooooo SIMPLE!!!!
I used a straw wreath form, still in the plastic wrap as my base. You can use styrofoam too. But I used straw because a) I couldn't find a styrofoam one b) it was cheaper then a styrofoam one would have been and c) I didn't want to drag my two kids to another craft store...one is about their limit!
I also grabbed the prettiest yarn EVER!
And these cute silver berries. You can use flowers or anything else you like to accessorize your wreath with. But I loved the silver berries against the aqua yarn! It looks so wintery!
Just wrap your yarn around the wreath form. You can make this as tight or as loose as you want. I made my yarn very close together and ended up using the entire thing of yarn...but I love how it looks!
Use a hot glue gun to secure both ends.
Add your accent berries using hot glue to secure them in tight.
Add a ribbon or tulle and hang it on your door!
Isn't it so lovely!
I participate in the link parties found here.

My 5 yr old and I cut out and glue and paste and create snowflakes and hang them in the kitchen window to combat the Chrsitmas let down. This is such a pretty wreath. I keep spying such lovely year round wreaths and think I may have to add one soon (for a non- Chrismtas time of the year!)

This is SO pretty! So simple, but it's gorgeous! I'm really regretting not using yarn on one I'm doing now. Felt strips is a lot more difficult!
