Two. That is the number of days of school left in this school year. While part of me is completely elated, part of me is also a little worried! I love my children so much! But after a few weeks off of school, they both become suddenly bored and the driving-each-other-nuts-thing starts to creep in. And honestly, not much bothers me more then contention in my home. So I am hard at work on a fun summer plan to keep my kids on track, learning, exploring and having fun!
One of the things that will be incorporated into our weekly schedule is a craft day! My children both love creating and I want to allow them to continue to explore and create throughout the summer!
Many times my children love to just create on their own! We will get out lots of art supplies and they will choose what and how to create it! I feel that this type of creative work is very important!
But sometimes I want my children to do a more structured activity, which I feel is also very important!
And I found the coolest, structured, creative activity that required almost no prep work for mom (or dad)! Seriously, it even arrives on your doorstep! It's a Kiwi Crate!
Have you heard of Kiwi Crate? This is the coolest kids activity subscription service I have ever seen! The Kiwi Crate comes full of fun, creative, and educational activities for your children to do: everything included!
And for the summer they are rolling out an amazing new Summer Adventure Series that include the coolest boxes ever! These are focused around summer projects and they are fun for kids and for their whole family! Some of the themes include Robots, Safari, Music and more. Go HERE to learn more.
My kids were thrilled to receive a Farm Fun crate the other day! It was seriously amazing!
Because my 7 year old can read, she helped my 4 year old and together they create the coolest things and needed very little help from me! Although I was totally enthralled with it and was begging my kids to let me help! haha
First we planted a mini garden! Can I just say how stinkin' cute these are!? The crate came with "magical" dirt that grows before your eyes when you add water! My kids got the biggest kick out of it! They planted grass and radish seeds and the next day, we had seeds beginning to sprout! This is so much fun!
Then my kiddos created the cutest farm animal finger puppets! These were pre-cut and everything was sticky so they could easily assemble them on their own! No glue mess, no need to cut anything! These went together quickly and easily!
These crates include EVERYTHING they needed to create their projects, even scissors! Plus they are creative and so cute! My daughter was able to read the simple instructions and follow them and help guide her brother along as well. A fun subscription service like this would definitely make my summer fun plans a whole lot more simple and creative!
So now I want to hear from you, what's on your summer plan this year?
